Cultural affairs

In the Department of Culture we deal with cultural education and the promotion of young artists at the University of Klagenfurt. Our goal is to make the campus a vibrant place. For this purpose, we organize events with artistic and cultural focus such as film evenings, concerts, exhibitions and readings. In addition, we are always looking for suitable cooperations with cultural associations to make everyday life more culturally friendly for you.

Hungry for art and culture? With the cultural pass you get discounts or even free admission to 64 Carinthian cultural establishments. Simply fill out the application and submit it in the ÖH ServiceCenter. The cultural pass will be sent to your home by post. Here are some of our most important cooperation partners for your discounted cultural enjoyment:

• At the Stadttheater Klagenfurt you will receive 10,- for selected dates and plays (to be purchased at the ÖH ServiceCenter). At the box office you can buy remaining tickets available in all categories 30 minutes before the start of the performance for 7 euros. And for students under the age of 25, there is a 50% discount per card on all cards.
• New School of Rock: As a student at the University of Klagenfurt you get -10% off all prices and you can get a taste of the world of music making during the trial month without obligation.

Are you artistically active yourself? The Freibühne! Klagenfurt offers you the chance to live out your own creativity on a stage in front of an audience. It is a space free from criticism and evaluation, open to any kind of artistic expression. There is only one limit: Your contribution can last a maximum of 20 minutes.
