Departement for
Economic Affairs
Efficient financial management for the student body.
The Economic Department is responsible for the careful handling of the financial resources of the ÖH at the University of Klagenfurt/Celovec and works according to the principle of economy, efficiency, practicality and easy control. These guidelines ensure that all expenses and investments are used optimally and are done in the best interests of students.
In the economic department, we take care of numerous tasks that create a solid financial basis for the ÖH activities. This includes the preparation of the financial statements, the management of the budget and the calculation and settlement of cross-departmental projects. In addition, we coordinate sponsorship agreements and cooperation agreements. We negotiate the conditions in order to achieve the best possible outcome for the student body and maintain relations with our partners.
Another important aspect of our work is the coordination of the flow of money. We monitor all financial transactions and ensure that they are carried out properly and transparently. This is always done in close cooperation with the chair person according to the four-eyes principle, in order to ensure double control and maximum security.
Are you in a student representative office or in a ÖH department planning expenses for events, excursions or other activities? We are at your side with advice and action. Just write us an email or visit us in person. We discuss your ideas together and clarify all important processes. We will also inform you about possible special regulations that apply to certain expenses (e.g. printing works or expenses over 800 euros). Our goal is to help you successfully implement your projects. At the same time, we ensure that all financial resources are used sensibly and in the interest of the entire student body.
