Bachelor Programme
Are you interested in Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity and Software Development? In the Bachelor’s degree in Applied Computer Science, which you can also choose as part of the teacher-training programme, you will receive all the important theoretical foundations for the technologies of the future, on the one hand, and on the other hand, you will be able to apply what you have learned in practice. Since the University of Klagenfurt cooperates closely with technology companies, you can use this network to prepare yourself for the IT job market.
The Bachelor’s programme focuses on leading research topics: Artificial Intelligence, System Security and Business Informatics are just a few of the fields of specialization available to you. You will be taught by renowned teachers who are also involved in research. An important part of your studies is the software internship, where you work on real projects over two semesters. Here you will gain valuable practical experience in software development and learn to independently design and implement information technology systems.
With a bachelor’s degree in computer science, you have excellent job prospects. The demand for IT experts in the labour market is high. Graduates of the University of Klagenfurt, for example, can be found in the fields of software development, database design and cybersecurity.
Master programme
After the Bachelor’s programme gives you an overview of the contents of computer science, the Master’s programme Informatics offers you the opportunity to specialise in one of the following sub-areas: Business Information Systems, Distributed Multimedia Systems, Information and System Security, Knowledge and Data Engineering and Software Engineering.
As your student representatives, we are also happy to inform you about the Master Game Studies, the Master Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity and the extension study Digital Competencies.
